These are our entries for the Prairie All Breeds Ram Sale to be held at Johnstone Auction in Moose Jaw, SK on September 8, 2012 at 1 pm.

The first three ram lambs are all sired by PEI ram, “Shaw DAE 09W” that we purchased at the 2011 All Canada Classic in Drake, SK.  His breeding goes back to bloodlines from Scotland.

Lot #20:  Registered Dorset ram lamb “McDermit #16Z”, registration #677432-P.  Born May 5, 2012 out of yearling ewe “McDermit 180Y”.  He is a single which is what most of our first time lambers have and which we prefer them to have their first year.  (His nose is just dirty from eating his grain). 

 

 

 

Lot #21:  Registered Dorset ram lamb “McDermit 17Z”, registration #677433-P.  Also born May 5, 2012 and out of yearling ewe “West Country 128Y”.  Single.

 

 

 

 

Lot #22:  Registered Dorset ram lamb “McDermit 21Z”, registration #677434-P.  Born a single on May 9, 2012.  Dam is yearling ewe, “McDermit 159Y”.  A very thick, deep bodied ram.

 

 

 

 

Lot #23:  This is the commercial black and white Dorset ram, ”McDermit #0937″.  He was a born a single on February 25, 2012.  His dam is purebred Dorset ewe, “West Country 051X” and his sire is also a purebred Dorset.  Both parents are white but must have had the black gene.  His dam was an amazing mother, never letting him out of her sight.  A really long bodied ram.

 

Lot #65:  Registered Texel ram lamb, “McDermit 230Z”, registration #677453.  He was born a twin, unassisted on February 12, 2012.  His sire is Orchardview 17X that we purchased last year at the All Canada Classic at Drake, SK.  His dam is Treco 40R, a nice, long, thick ewe.  This ram is compact, solid and very thickly muscled.

 

Lot # 81:  Pen of 5 white faced ewe lambs.  They were born in April and May.

 

 

 

Lot # 82:  Pen of 5 Suffolk cross ewe lambs.  Born in April.
